I'm so excited!!!

I received a quote for our wedding flowers today. I cannot wait for this wedding! It's going to be so much fun!!! This is a photo of a hocus pocus rose, which I'm having in my bouquet.

But they're going to be gorgeous! I really love the lady that's putting them all together! She has tastes that mirror my own, so if there's something that needs to be filled in, I completely trust her judgement! If you don't believe me, check out her website! It's fantastic!!! I love her work!

I can't wait for our wedding!!!

If you have ever been married, what was your favorite part? What do you remember the most? And in the long run, does it really matter how much you spend on flowers, cake, or decorations?

  1. The part I remember the most from our wedding was both my husband and I getting weepy as we exchanged vows.

My favorite part was feeding my husband cake.

We got married shortly after Sept 11, so, in the short term, not much really mattered, other than actually marrying my husband. I wanted to be married. At that point, I didn't really care HOW I was married.

10 years later, the only thing that has mattered is our willingness to live out our vows. For us, as our life is full with work, hobbies, parenting, volunteering, etc, how much money we spent on the cake doesn't even register on the radar. I doubt in 20, 30, or 40 years it will even matter for us..

  2. I've been married over 40 years. It was so long ago - really I think the dress was the best part (after the honeymoon, of course). The dress was handed down to our daughter and worn at her wedding, and we have grandkids coming up to that age. It can get worn again, and again. What else in a wedding has any reuse? (And it is still beautiful, no age spots, the beading is still good, and the lace bright white.) If they want to wear it, it will save them thousands.
